More about me:
Philosophy: What is life about? If we are all ultimately just a jumble of cells, is the meaning we perceive in things assigned and not objective? If so, then why should I derive meaning from grades in school or results of things when I can instead value my own personal growth, curiosity, and exploration? Asking fundamental questions about reality has led me to Stoic philosophy, and from there, I started a club at my school where I taught lessons from ancient Stoics. After exploring what life is about, I realized I am a philosopher at heart because I'm curious about everything. I'm curious about why people behave the way they do, how perspective is the solution to most human problems, and why I see the sky as blue. I started teaching a philosophy class at my school for two hours every Wednesday to share my love for questioning and also to develop my communication skills.
Swimming: I love to swim, and have been a competitive swimmer for almost 10 years. I train every day after school, and love to push myself at practice. My goal as a swimmer is to grow as a person and develop my discipline and ability to work hard. I like to call swimming my 'canvas for self-actualization. Regarding my swimming abilities, I qualified for Futures individually, a national-level competition, and for States with my high school team.
